Jefferson City, MO
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore Fisher Cave on the wild cave tour Saturday, August 8 at Meramec State Park near Sullivan. Sponsored by the Department of Natural Resources, this special cave tour, which goes beyond the normal tour, will begin at 9 a.m. and last until approximately 1 p.m.
This adventurous spelunking trip will consist of strenuous crawling, at times through semi-filled water passages, to reach an enormous room. You must be at least 18 years old and come equipped with a hard hat, three independent sources of light (two of which should be waterproof), and a wetsuit that covers at least two-thirds of the body.
Admission for the tour is $6 for adults and $5 for ages 18 to 19.
The trip has a limited number of openings, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserve your spot by calling Erik Otto at 573-468-8155.
Meramec State Park is located three miles south of Interstate 44 on Highway 185 in Franklin County.
