Can you believe it’s the end of another school year? It’s also time to show teachers our thanks and appreciation. Read on for some fun ideas that are sure to earn some last minute gold stars.
Go hand-made:
Personalize a coffee cup with the teacher’s name or an inside joke.
Re-use and recycle with this CD case picture frame craft.
Any teacher would love receiving this soup can pencil-holder.
Spring is the perfect time to give a plant in a decorated mosaic pot.
Give yummy edibles such as: fudge, snickerdoodles, caramel corn or quick bread.
Gift baskets galore:
Check the dollar store to gather items for these attractive gift baskets:
Ice cream sundae basket: ice cream bowl, spoon, scoop, sprinkles and toppings.
Indulgence basket: candles, soaps, bubble bath and chocolate.
All-about-school basket: glue, stickers, ruler, scissors, pencils and an apple.
Tea time basket: specialty tea bags, cookies, crackers and tea cup.
Showtime basket: bags of popcorn, big bowl, boxes of candy and DVD rental gift card.
What to do for everyone else?
There are countless others who make the school year great for students: gym teachers, art teachers, music teachers, youth group leaders, cafeteria workers, office workers, bus drivers…the list goes on and on. Never despair. There are ways to make sure these important people won’t go unnoticed:
Spend an afternoon baking a few batches of easy bar cookies or brownies. Bundle each personal-sized portion in a treat bag tied with a pretty ribbon. Present with a lovely card.
Or, donate a book to the school library in the names of special helpers. Tell them about the donation in a pretty thank-you card.
The last day of school is fast approaching, so get busy!
