Benefits planned for Deputy Scott Beine
August 7, 2008
O’Fallon
Deputy Scott Beine, an 11-year veteran with the St. Charles County Sheriffs Department, was participating in a charitable golf tournament on July 7 when a wayward golf ball struck him in the forehead. Deputy Beine is suffering from a severe head injury and has not been able to work. His wife must stay home to care for him and their two children.
This situation has caused a strain on the family’s finances and has absorbed all of Deputy Beine’s sick time.
Community and charitable events have always been important to Beine, and now employees of the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department have organized some benefits to assist him and his family.
Gourmet BBQ and Carnival
On Sunday, August 24 from noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, a gourmet BBQ and carnival will feature great food, bounce houses, snow cones, raffles and a dunking booth.
There will also be silent auctions including valuable sports memorabilia, vacation packages and 50/50 drawings.
The Sheriff’s Deputies vs. Local Firefighters Softball Game starts at 4:00 p.m.
The Elks Lodge is located at 1163 Tom Ginnever in O’Fallon. For more information about the event, call 636-949-7900 ext. 2720 or 2711.

There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, soda and water before and during play. Mulligans, 50/50 raffle tickets and skins tournament will be sold the day of the scramble. A silent auction will be held at the conclusion of the scramble.
Cost: $65 golfer/$260 team
Hole Sponsor: $50 (more would be appreciated)
Deputy Beine has always been generous in the community, donating so much of his time. Now it is the community’s turn to pull together and help the Beine family.
