Foundry Art Centre to host “Bandstandin”

On Saturday, October 18, the Foundry Art Centre will host its 5th annual fundraiser, “Bandstandin” with headliner, Butchwax & the Hollywoods.
If you remember fly paper, penny loafers, flat tops, sock hops, Studebakers, the Hit Parade, pedal pushers, ducktail hair or peggin’ your pants, “Bandstandin” is an event you’ll not want to miss.
Great music, entertainment, dancing, food, games, prizes, “something boxes” and a silent auction will all be a part of the evening’s festivities. Grab your friends and neighbors and plan on a table of 10.
Cocktails at 6:30, dinner at 7:15 and dancing at 8:00. Tickets are $75 each and are available by calling the Foundry Art Centre at 636-255-0270.
The Foundry Art Centre is a fine arts gallery overlooking the Missouri River at 520 North Main Center, in the Frenchtown district of Historic St. Charles. The Foundry features a Smithsonian-caliber art gallery hosting national juried exhibitions plus 20 working artist studios where visitors can watch the creative process and buy art directly from the artists.
The not-for-profit art centre also provides community meeting rooms, event space and a children’s art gallery. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free and donations are welcome.
