Foundry offers acting classes for youth

Do your children seek the spotlight? Are they always “on stage” for family and friends? Here is a chance to let their inner star shine.
Introductory acting classes will teach basic acting techniques and short-form improv, using monologues, short scenes and educational games. It will assist children to develop their creative energy into acting for the stage.
Classes will run from Feb. 2 to May 4 and are offered for grades 2 and 3, grades 4 and 5 and grades 6, 7 and 8. Fees are $165 for grades 2 and 3 and $195 for grades 4 through 8. Members receive a discount.

The Foundry Art Centre is a fine arts gallery overlooking the Missouri River at 520 North Main Center, in the Frenchtown district of Historic St. Charles.
The Foundry features a Smithsonian-caliber art gallery hosting national juried exhibitions plus 20 working artist studios where visitors can watch the creative process and buy art directly from the artists.
The not-for-profit art centre also provides community meeting rooms, event space and a children’s art gallery.
