The opening of Shrine/Installation is Friday, Jan. 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Foundry Art Centre, 520 North Main Center in St. Charles.

Galleries I & II: “Shrines” at the Foundry Art Centre will be filled with memories, mementos and interactive experiences for the viewer. As you move through the space, you will come across a machine synthesizer, a maze of human geology, and be confronted with infinite mathematical three-dimensional cones. This exhibition encourages participation and discovery and is an opportunity to view and experience innovative contemporary artwork.

Gallery III: Going Solo Exhibition by Christopher Cassidy, Videographer and Animator. Three looping DVD’s entitled “The Isthmus of Kansas,” “The Atlantic Flyway” and “Tidal, 2008.”

Ameristar Gallery: Works by Foundry Artists, Billy O’Donnell, John Junger, Jim and Liz Dorman and Sallie Day Mogerman.

In conjunction with the “Shrine” exhibition, the Foundry Studio Artists will host an open studio night. All artists will be present to share their creative processes with the casual viewer and connoisseur alike.
