Start hoeing or pulling weeds now while the ground is wet and soft. This will make pulling weeds easier.
Check trees & shrubs for broken branches. The wind or snow storms may have caused damage. Cut broken limbs off as close as possible to main branch.
Clean out your old chemicals and make a list of what you need to buy. DO NOT pour theses down a drain, or toss them in the garbage. They may contaminate the water supply. Consult your local authority for proper disposal.
Clean debris and weeds from flower beds. Consider what plants and flowers you want to use this spring. Look through catalogs to make your choices.
Start feeding your houseplants again once they begin to show signs of new growth.
