Accident sends Kansas man to hospital

On Wednesday, Aug. 5 at about 11:30 a.m., Justin H. Juergensmeyer, 22, of Troy, MO, was heading westbound on Highway 40 near Prospect Road in a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an accident occurred as Juergensmeyer was stopped for traffic and the front of a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by Michael A. Rousselo, 38, from Edgerton, KS, failed to stop and struck the rear of the Blazer.
Rousselo suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center West by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts during the accident.
