Pursued vehicle overturns on I-70

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on June 25 at 8:00 p.m., a 1991 Chevrolet S10 was being pursued on Interstate 70 by a Lincoln County Deputy.
The vehicle was heading eastbound on Interstate 70, .6 miles east of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard and was being driven by Robert J. Rhoades, 26, of St. Louis.
Rhoades swerved to avoid spike strips, struck the concrete median wall and overturned the vehicle.
Rhoades suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Health Center by St. Charles County Ambulance. A passenger, Kathleen R. Bailey, 22, of St. Charles, received minor injuries and also was taken to St. Joseph Health Center by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Neither party was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Rhoades was charged with DWI and driving while revoked.

The following is based on initial reports. Confirmation by authorities is pending:
At about 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, initial reports indicate law enforcement was pursuing a vehicle on Interstate 70 in the eastbound lanes, east of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard.
The pursued vehicle overturned. Two subjects were taken into custody, one male and one female and it seemed they suffered some injuries.
Lanes of Interstate 70 were shut down for a time.
