Report of man falling into lake unfounded

Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Lake Saint Louis Fire and Police departments joined the O’Fallon Fire Department and paramedics in responding to a report of a man falling into Lake Saint Louis.
Lake Saint Louis Boulevard was closed for about a half hour while a fire department rescue boat was deployed and ambulances arrived near the dam and at Windjammer Pointe; however, no one was found in the lake.
According to the Lake Saint Louis Police Department, the woman who made the call said the man fell into the lake near the dam. After speaking with the woman, police concluded the woman had some emotional troubles and they were able to get her some help.
