Wentzville School Board meets with city officals

Lake Saint Louis representatives met with the Wentzville School Board Monday night to discuss district and city growth.
Some of the points highlighted regarding the Wentzville School District included:
The Wentzville School District earned the 2007 Accredited with Distinction Award. This is the district’s second year for earning this award.
A new high school is needed. A three- to four-year time frame for completion is estimated.

Upcoming elementary schools will be built on Mexico Road and Sommers Road.
Some of the points highlighted regarding Lake Saint Louis included:
Retail in Lake Saint Louis is expected to double within the next ten years.
The Meadows will open on time, August 16, 2008.
A new Lake Saint Louis park near Duello Road is being planned. The wooded and natural area will cover approximately 35 acres.
After the meeting, Ward One Alderman, Ralph Sidebottom, told sccworlds.com that a Sports Authority and an Office Max will be built in between the Lake Saint Louis Wal-Mart and Lowe’s on Ronald Reagan Drive.
