Barricades installed to protect houses
March 27, 2008
Lake Saint Louis
Barriers were installed at the intersection of Lake Saint Louis Boulevard and Fox Trail Drive in Lake Saint Louis last week. The row of upright obstacles is topped with reflectors to catch drivers’ attention.Â
These were installed, undoubtedly, in response to the many accidents at this location where drivers sometimes neglect to stop at the Fox Trail Drive stop sign. Cars have been known to continue into the backyards of the condominiums on South Lakeridge Court, near the intersection.
The most recent instance happened last October when a motorist failed to stop at the stop sign and plunged into a backyard where the car impacted an air conditioning unit and came to rest uncomfortably close to the residence at South Lakeridge Court.
