Heald Home Tours in Fort Zumwalt Park
This home was built in the late 1800’s in a German-Italianate-Victorian style by Darius Heald. The two-story brick home was named “Stony Point Plantation.”

In 2001, the city of O’Fallon restored the home, maintaining its interior woodwork and reopening the fireplaces throughout the home.

Heald Home is open for tours on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Sept. 28. The cost is $2 per person and is shown by appointment only. Call 636-379-5614 to arrange a tour. The home will be closed on Aug. 31.

O’Fallon Historical Society Log Cabin Museum
This log cabin museum, found in O’Fallon’s Civic Park, houses 19th century clothing, a folding bed used for covered wagon travel, Wabash Railroad items and an immigrant’s trunk.

Tours for the museum are just $1 per person and free for those 8 years old and younger. Visits are by appointment only. To arrange a tour, call 636-980-8015.
