Recent motor vehicle accidents

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a couple of single-vehicle accidents occurred recently, totaling drivers’ cars.
On Thurs. morning at about 5:25, Kory J. Smith, 19, of O’Fallon, fell asleep while driving a 2005 Dodge Neon westbound I-70, east of Highway K. Smith exited the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail before crossing back over the roadway and striking the median wall head-on. Smith was not wearing a seat belt. Because of moderate injuries, he was taken to St. Joseph Hospital East by St. Charles County Ambulance.
On Wed. evening at about 10:50, Ashley N. Prinster, 24, of Wentzville was traveling westbound on Highway P in a 1989 Toyota Camry. Prinster traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a driveway and encountering a ditch. Prinster was wearing a seat belt. She was taken to St. Joseph Heath Center in St. Charles with minor injuries by St. Charles County Ambulance.
