Soprano’s Pizza and Pasta is a family owned restaurant in O’Fallon. It is relatively new, and will celebrate its one-year birthday soon.
The dining room is cozy but not cramped and the servers were warm and friendly. Even though I wanted “just a taste” from the beer pitcher, they accommodated me with a frosted glass and a smile. No matter what our need, staff was nearby but not hovering and always pleasant. All the diners seemed to feel right at home.
We ordered a “Godfather”, an 18” x 26” rectangle of pizza to feed our party of eight. Even with many people eating on it, we still had to get a box for the extra slices. Our pizza had a thick crust and loads of cheese and pepperoni. It was so filling; we could each only eat one or two slices.
Friends of ours ordered the antipasto salad (a garden salad with attractive rolls of salami, ham and turkey). A traditional Italian appetizer, the salad was delicious and served plenty of people.
Our dinner was traditional, but Soprano’s offers other Italian and Greek Cuisine as well. Diners can try a Moussaka pizza, a grilled chicken gyro with cucumber sauce or an Asiago burger to name just a few unique options. When it comes to Italian and Greek food, it’s obvious the owners have quite the knack.
We also were delighted to hear the music of Tim T. (Tim Tibbett), a one-man band. This was the first night Soprano’s offered live music and it was a success. Tim T. played a variety of music, from Jimmy Buffet material to Johnny Cash to Dave Matthews. Tim T. had a great rapport with the crowd and more than a few diners requested songs.
Soprano’s is located at 1266 Bryan Road in O’Fallon, Missouri. Their phone number is 636-272-2321 and they are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to close on Thursday through Saturday.
Soprano’s is shaping up to be a comfy eatery that offers familiarity amidst friendly service and attention from the staff.
