Accident closes Veterans Memorial Parkway

At approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday night, two pickup trucks collided at the entrance to the O’Fallon Hills subdivision, closing both directions of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at that location for almost an hour.
According to reports, one person had to be extracted from a vehicle.
Emergency crews responding to the accident included: Lake Saint Louis Police, Lake Saint Louis Fire Department, O’Fallon Fire Department, O’Fallon Police and two ambulances.
The site, near the border of Lake Saint Louis and O’Fallon, has hosted many accidents. A witness at the scene told sccworlds.com that residents have approached MO-DOT about getting a stoplight at the spot, to no avail.
