Plans underway for Heritage & Freedom Fest

O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest will be held at Ozzie Smith Sports Complex on July 3 and 4.
This free festival will offer rides, games and festival foods such as corn dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, candy apples, popcorn, snow-cones, lemonade and more. Ticket booths will be located throughout the festival selling tickets for the rides. All vendors accept cash.
The Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade, themed One People, One City, One Nation, will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Fri. July 4 on Historical Main Street in O’Fallon.
The parade route starts at City Hall, continues North at Tom Ginnever and ends at T.R. Hughes Stadium parking lot. For parade information, call 636-379-5574.
O’Fallon has also planned a number of free performances. Lawn seating is first come, first serve. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
Free kids’ activities will keep little ones happy with entertainment, face painting, graffiti wall, inflatables, puppet-making and crafts.
Festival Hours:
Thursday, July 3: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Friday, July 4: Noon – 11:00 p.m.
Parking is available at the T.R. Hughes Ballpark lot (limited), Fort Zumwalt North and Christian high schools (off Tom Ginnever Avenue).
Buses will shuttle patrons to T.R. Hughes. From there, patrons may walk or ride a horse-drawn wagon to the festival.
