Accident on D sends teen to hospital

On Wednesday, Oct. 28, at about 6:25 a.m., a 17-year-old male from Marthasville was driving a 2003 Dodge Neon eastbound on Route D, about .6 miles east of Benne Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the teen failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the road to the right and struck a tree.
The Marthasville resident suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
He was wearing a seat belt during the accident.
