Highway D accident sends Wentzville teen to hospital

At about 2:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, a 16-year old female from Lake Saint Louis, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Highway D, four miles west of Highway 94.
The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road which caused the vehicle to travel off the south side of the road and strike a ditch.
Her passenger, also a 16-year-old female, from Wentzville, suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Both the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts.
