Highway Z head-on collision near Carlton Glen

Update…
St. Charles County W.O.R.L.D.S. has received more information regarding the Sat. morning head-on collision on Highway Z.
Nick S. McFerron, 17, of O’Fallon was driving a 1991 Ford Ranger southbound on Highway Z and failed to stop when the car ahead of him, a 2006 Dodge Durango, driven by Dino D. Conedera, 34, of Wentzville stopped to make a left-hand turn.
The impact forced Conedera’s vehicle across the roadway and into the path of two oncoming vehicles: a 1997 Dodge Intrepid, driven by Pamela D. Harshaw, 50, of Wentzville and a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Tavares L. Tartt, 33, of Wentzville.
McFerron and his passenger, Tiffany A. Ruehlman, 17, of Wentzville both suffered serious injuries and were taken to St. Joseph Hospital West. McFerron was not wearing a seatbelt.

A head-on collision occurred between a truck and a Dodge Intrepid on Highway Z, near the Carlton Glen subdivision in Wentzville at about 9:55 Sat. morning.
Highway Z was closed between the Carlton Glen Subdivision and Interstate Drive. Drivers were detoured to Wilmer Drive.
Wentzville Fire, Wentzville Police and State Police all responded.
There is no information regarding injuries or cause at this time.
A witness at the scene said there was little damage on the Intrepid and it was able to be driven from the scene.
All lanes on Highway Z were reopened by 11:25 a.m.
