St. Charles County
There is so much happening in St. Charles County in honor of Independence Day. Enjoy a concert, watch a parade, play a game. There are so many choices!
Just steer clear of those candy-chasing kids at the parade!
Here’s the rundown of this year’s holiday scene:
O’FALLON--
O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest will be celebrated at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex from noon to 11:00 p.m. on the 4th of July.
There will be lots for kids to do like visit a petting zoo and take a pony ride. Party-goers are sure to enjoy the carnival and even a comedy show
The parade will be on July 4 at 9:30 a.m. It starts at Third and Main Streets, proceeds north on Main, turns east on Tom Ginnever Avenue and ends at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.
Musical entertainment for the day:
Joe Dirt (12:30 – 1:30 and 2:00 – 3:00)
Big Head Todd and the Monsters (4:00 – 5:15)
Candlebox (6:15 – 7:30)
Gin Blossoms (8:30 – 9:45)
Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. and can be viewed from anywhere on the festival grounds.

WENTZVILLE--
Wentzville will begin their 4th of July festivities with a parade at 10 a.m., which will travel down Pearce Boulevard. The theme of the parade is “America—Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.”
After the parade, join the celebration at Progress Park. The pool is open free to the public from noon to 7 p.m. Kids will enjoy inflatable rides and balloon sculpting clowns.
Musical entertainment for the day includes: Shakey Ground Blues Band and Trixie Delight.
The fireworks show begins at about 9:05 p.m. The event is free, but concessions are available for purchase.
ST. CHARLES--
The city of St. Charles will hold their Riverfest celebration on July 4 from noon to 11:00 p.m. at Frontier Park.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. It begins at Blanchette Park and travels the following streets: Randolph to Kingshighway to Clark Street to Main Street and finishes at Frontier Park.
Enjoy live music during the festivities.

Celebration-goers will thrill at the fireworks displays on July 4 and 5, each beginning at 9:20 p.m.
