Motorcycle accident near Defiance sends two to hospital

Defiance
On Saturday at about 7:15 p.m., Thomas L. Lewis, 49, of Ballwin, was driving a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Highway 94 just north of Berry Crossing.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
The driver failed to negotiate a curve and the motorcycle exited the roadway to the right.
Lewis suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Air Evac Helicopter to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur.
Lewis’ passenger, Jill E. Carmichael, 44, of O’Fallon, was seriously injured and taken to St. John’s in Creve Coeur by Air Evac Helicopter.
