Route DD accident has serious outcome

Monday afternoon at about 12:50, Ryan N. Scott, 19, of St. Louis, was driving a 2004 Acura RSX southbound on Route DD, near Diehr Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Scott was “traveling too fast for conditions” when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The car slid off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment before becoming airborne. It came to rest upright.
Scott’s passenger, John R. Dopplick, 21, of Manchester, was seriously injured and taken to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Scott, as well as another passenger, Rebekkah J. Wolfgeher, 19, of Barnhart, sustained moderate injuries and were also both taken to St. John’s Hospital in Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance.
No one involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt.
