Traffic accident claims the life of O’Fallon man

Police reports indicate that on Saturday morning, at about 10:30 a.m., Jason R. Palacios, 30, of O’Fallon, was pronounced dead at the scene of a traffic accident. Palacios was the passenger of a vehicle driven by Anthony J. Larocca, 24, of St. Peters.
The vehicle was heading eastbound on Highway 94 about half a mile east of Rees Road in the Portage des Sioux area when it traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Larocca suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
