Kenworth strikes vehicles on bridge

On Wednesday, July 1, at about 7:11 a.m., a 2008 Kenworth, driven by Mark A. Brewer, 45, of St. Louis, was heading westbound on Interstate 70 on the Blanchette Bridge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Kenworth struck a westbound 1999 Ford Windstar, which was stopped in lane five due to a mechanical failure. The Windstar, driven by Sharon Lindsey, 54, of Hillsdale, was pushed off the right side of the roadway and struck the concrete barrier of the bridge wall.
The Kenworth also struck a westbound 2002 Ford Econoline Van, driven by Derek M. Briner, 32, of Florissant.
Lindsey suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles by Pattonville Ambulance.
All three drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
