St. Peters
High prices at the pump and grocery store are causing everyone to make some sacrifices. But in St. Peters, families will be able to enjoy live music, free of charge, thanks to the Concerts in the Park Series.
On June 11, the St. Louis Wind Symphony begins the season;
On July 17, The Melvin Turnage Band will perform music from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s;
On Aug. 21, Sins of the Pioneers will treat listeners to jazz sounds; and
On Sept. 18, Downtime Productions will mix it up with Motown, pop, oldies, disco, rock and R&B.
The concerts will be held at City Centre Park and concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and coolers. Each performance begins at 7 p.m.
City Centre Park boasts, in over 78 acres, an outdoor amphitheater, sports fields, hiking and biking trails, an inclusive playground, a picnic pavilion, a pond and the City Centre Gazebo.
City Centre Park is located at #1 City Centre Boulevard in the City Centre complex adjacent to St. Peters City Hall. For more information, see www.stpetersmo.net.
