17-year old driver sent to hospital after accident

At about 7:10 a.m. on Thursday, a 17-year-old female from O’Fallon was driving a 2000 Saturn westbound on Highway N, near Duello Road.
She lost control of the vehicle which caused it to travel off the north side of the roadway and strike a telephone pole. She was wearing her seat belt.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
