James Luecke, a junior at Wentzville Holt High School, has been selected as a KMOX/Southeast Missouri State University Student of Achievement.

The annual award recognizes a select group of students throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics, athletics, the arts, community service and leadership. As a result of his accomplishments, James will receive a Student of Achievement Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University in the fall of 2011.

“It means everything to me, it’s a big deal for my family, and it feels great to know that the Holt faculty thinks I deserve to be nominated,” said James. “My brother is a junior at SEMO so I’ve visited the campus many times, and I think I’ll feel right at home.”

James is an Honor Roll student who also participates in varsity soccer, track, and Student Council. He plans to major in graphic design and minor in engineering.

Congratulations to James for being selected as a Student of Achievement!
