Holt graduate, Melville, drafted by Royals

2008 Wentzville Holt High School graduate, Tim Melville, was drafted by the Kansas City Royals on Thursday afternoon in the fourth round of picks.
The 6’5”, 210-pound right-handed pitcher, was the 2007 AFLAC National High School Player of the Year recipient and was selected by Kansas City as the 115th overall pick of the draft.
In his senior year of high school, Melville finished with an 8-1 record, a 2.56 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 52 innings.
In his junior year, Melville helped Holt get to the Missouri Class 4-A finals.
Melville has not ruled out attending University of North Carolina.
