A local chiropractor offers one year of free care to returning military personnel.

Dr. Eric Glass, the chiropractor at Wentzville-based Above & Beyond Chiropractic, announced today that his office has joined a national movement within the industry that calls for chiropractors to provide free care to all U.S. military personnel for one year upon the completion of their tour of duty.

“We are proud to support the men and women serving our country worldwide in the war against terror. We must not forget that these brave soldiers protect the freedoms to which we have become accustomed—freedoms that were threatened nearly seven years ago on 9/11,” said Glass.

“As a show of gratitude, we’d like to extend an offer of free chiropractic care for one year to our military personnel once they have completed their tour of duty,” he added.

Above & Beyond Chiropractic opened its doors in March of 2008 and is rapidly growing its patient base.

Those military personnel who take advantage of this offer will be availed to state-of-the-art technology and technique when it comes to their care.

“The soldiers have been subjected to a lot of physical and emotional stress. They probably have not slept or eaten well since being shipped overseas nor have they had an opportunity to exercise properly. All these factors contribute to the body not being allowed to operate efficiently,” stated Glass.

“We all know that when operating at full capacity, the human body is an incredible thing of beauty. For example, if you fall and scrape your knee, the body heals itself. Pretty unbelievable stuff when you think about it. Well, aside from recommending a proper diet and exercise, we have technology that enables us to evaluate a patient’s sensory nerve irritation, range of motion, motor and autonomic nerve function as well as heart rate variability. These tests also identify areas of disturbance within the body. Once these areas are identified, our ‘adjustments’ help return the body to peak form.”

“And, a healthy body will get our troops off on the right foot, when they return to civilian life. Now we just need to get them all safely home,” Glass said in closing.
