Timberland senior, Julie Johnston has committed to play soccer for Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO.

With her mother Amy and her father Scott at her side, Julie signed her Letter of Intent at Timberland High School where she has played soccer for the Wolves since she was a freshman. Julie is senior class President, a member of Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). She has a 3.2 GPA and has been named to the All-GAC Academic Team since her freshman year.

In Timberland’s off-season, Julie plays club soccer for MC United. Julie said she is excited to go to Central Methodist University and her father Scott, a science teacher at Timberland, is an alumnus.

“When I went to visit, I loved the campus and the girls were all very nice and supportive. The coaches are excellent and I’m looking forward to playing there,” she said.

CMU’s Head Girls Soccer Coach Dan Schmidlin added “Julie is a very technical player that will easily make the transition from high school to college and we are excited to have her. She will be a great addition to our program.”

Julie plans to study special education.
