The no-more-field-trips rumor in Wentzville

Wentzville
Within the Wentzville School District area, there’s been some buzz that the Wentzville School District administration has decided there will be no field trips allowed for the upcoming school year.
During a phone call on Thurs., Dr. Terry Adams, Superintendent, stated that he was unaware of any new restrictions. He said that the rumor may have stemmed from the rise in gas prices and an assumption from individuals that the district may want to save money in this area.
Adams said that if a district-wide restriction were to be placed on field trips, he would guess that it would be put before the school board for a vote.
He also stated that 4th grade camp is still planned for the upcoming school year.
