Wentzville Board of Education elects new officers

The Wentzville School Board elected new officers at the regular board meeting on Apr. 17. Following are the results:
Dale Schaper, President, nominated by David Ness and seconded by Michael Cecil.
Also nominated for President was Joe McDonald, nominated by Denise Hackman and seconded by Sherry Cox. The vote was 4 to 2 in favor of Dale Schaper.
David Ness, Vice President, nominated by Michael Cecil and seconded by Terry Ratcliff.
Sherry Cox, Secretary, nominated by David Ness and seconded by Michael Cecil.
Terry Ratcliff, MSBA Delegate, nominated by Denise Hackman and seconded by Sherry Cox.
Michael Cecil, MSBA Delegate Alternate, nominated by David Ness and seconded by Terry Ratcliff.
Denise Hackman and Joe McDonald will continue their service as board members.
The board appointed Dr. Terry Adams as authorized Representative for State and Federal Programs.
Mike O’Connell was appointed District Treasurer though June 30, 2008. The board appointed Kari Moncees as the District Treasurer for the 2008 – 2009 school year.
Except for the seat of President, all votes were unanimous in favor of those nominated.
After agenda items were covered, new board members, Terry Ratcliff and Michael Cecil, were sworn in and the meeting reconvened.
The evening’s meeting began with four members present: Denise Hackman, Sherry Cox, David Ness and Dale Schaper. Joe McDonald was absent as were outgoing board members, Cheryl Delaporta and Patrick Nasi.
