Wentzville Schools offer free passes for seniors
Wentzville, MO
August 28, 2008
The Wentzville R-IV School District announced today that it is offering free activities passes to all members of the community who are 55 and older. These passes are good for all of the events in the District that normally charge an admission, including athletic contests, plays, and concerts. The passes are available in the District Central Office during regular business hours.
September is almost here, and it’s time for High School football! Along with softball, the fall musical, concerts by our award winning band, and all of the other great things that happen in the Wentzville School District.
The Wentzville schools have produced some outstanding student athletes in recent years, including State Championship teams in wrestling and softball, as well as individual State Champions in swimming, track and field, and wrestling. You can’t watch Holt product Tim Mehlville pitch for free anymore (he graduated and signed a big contract with the Royals) but you can watch Montee Ball run wild on the football field for one more year.
Ball, a senior running back at Timberland, was the leading rusher in the state last year with over 3,000 yards and 32 touchdowns. He needs 1,400 more yards to break the St. Louis metro area career rushing record. After that it’s on to Wisconsin and big time college football, and you’ll never be able to watch him play any cheaper that you can this year!
To see the schedules for all of the fall sports, please check the District website at http://www.wentzville.k12.mo.us , and if you are over 55 years old we encourage you to take advantage of this great free opportunity!
