In the spirit for Halloween fright? This is your weekend. Scary events haunt the calendar county-wide. Parties, trick-or-treating, a costumed pet parade, skateboarding, hay rides and a concert are just some of what’s going on during the next few days.
If you’re a brave soul, check out these happenings. (Nah, they’re not that scary).
Friday, October 24
Halloween Party at Founders Park in Lake Saint Louis from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This is for ages 10 and under. There will be hay rides, games, a trackless train, two bounce houses, an obstacle course and more. Donations will be accepted on site for “Caring & Sharing.” (Rain date: Tuesday, October 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
Monsters & Marshmallows at First Missouri State Capitol Building, 200 South Main Street in St. Charles from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This is a fun, free family event.
Saturday, October 25
Dogtober Adoption Fair and Pet Parade at the DuSable Dog Park in St. Charles from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a costumed pet parade at 11:00 a.m.—with prizes. This is a free, family-friendly event.
Halloween Carnival at the Rec-Plex South in St. Peters from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The price is $4 per person. There will be dinner, games, crafts and more. If you wear a costume, you’ll get a special treat. Only family-friendly costumes, please. To register, call 636-939-2FUN ext 400.
Night of Fright at Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. $5 admission includes Halloween fun and rollerblading/skateboarding in the park. There will be costume contests, games, crafts, a haunted house (for ages 8 and over) and trick-or-treating. This is for all ages.

Halloween Happenings in Wentzville at 3:00 p.m. in the Progress Park gym. For more information, call 636-327-7665.
