New restaurant in Wentzville, Rise & Dine
December 11, 2007
Rise & Dine opened for business in Wentzville just over a week ago. We stopped in recently to check it out.
The restaurant has a diner-type atmosphere with booths, tables and counter seating. We found the waitresses cheerful and friendly. Owner, Joe Deavenport, even stopped by our table to make sure everything was top-notch. It was.
We ordered a chicken salad sandwich on croissant and a black angus burger. We both substituted seasoned home-fries instead of potato chips. After lunch, we enjoyed apple and cherry fruit blossoms. Fruit blossoms are similar to personal-sized stollens.
The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Neither of us were hungry for the rest of the day.
The mood was positive and upbeat. All employees seemed to be genuinely having a good time. This couldn’t help but rub off on customers.
Rise & Dine serves breakfast all day, so of course they have an extensive breakfast menu. A partial list includes omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, breakfast croissants, chicken fried steak and benedicts.
Their lunch menu offers sandwiches, melts, Reubens, burgers, wraps, soups and salads. Our lunch ticket ended up being around $20. See the full menu at www.risedine.com.
Rise & Dine is only open for breakfast and lunch. Hours are 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. seven days per week. The also offer catering and wifi.
We will definitely visit Joe and the crew again.
Rise & Dine is located at 1814 Wentzville Parkway in Wentzville (near Dierberg’s). The phone number is 636-639-RISE (7473).
